You choosing a career should be purposeful and not because a member of your family has done it. For me, it is to ensure people who have nothing and can’t afford any form of healthcare get decent medical treatment. Oftentimes patients come in here with nothing seeking medical attention and whenever I can, I give free consultations which they always appreciate. So for such people I try to provide the quality of care they would otherwise have gotten in costlier private hospitals. It’s more of my mission in life. I’m a pediatrician but it is my dream to be a neurosurgeon and over the years I’ve been working hard to see that dream come true. Just recently I secured a scholarship to study neurosurgery in Europe by the end of the year.
I’ll be spending a total of 7 years studying in Berlin and Switzerland. Despite my busy schedule I learned how to speak French and German. I wrote my language qualification exams a while back and I passed them. Now I can confidently say I’m fluent in 4 languages. It’s never too late to achieve your dreams and not having enough time is never an excuse.
