Running a Business in Nigeria 🇳🇬 is no child’s play. Everyone wants to be an Entrepreneur but most times people only see the social media glamorous-looking side. Its a lot of blood, sweat and tears. There are nights when your bank account is suffocating and cannot breathe. Profit or not, you have to pay salaries and maintain the business. Lets not even talk about the PHCN/diesel wahala. Then the government wants 5% VAT and then 30% of the almost nothing profit. Rent is outrageous and they want yearly, most other countries let you pay monthly. Market prices skyrocket without notice. Everyday a new government body comes with some license/bill/tax you need to pay. –
I’ll never tell anyone not to start a business but my advice is always to do your research and work out the maths using Nigerian Calculator. Don’t become a statistic on why most businesses close down within the first year. God help us all!
