2011
As a freshman at UNILAG, while writing my first exams, I was also attempting WAEC again so I could change my subject mix and get in for a new course. It was crazy!
___
April 2, 2019, I graduated from the Department of Economics, University of Lagos but I didn’t start with Economics. Fresh out of high school, I was filled with drive to study medicine. I wanted to write my own “Gifted Hands”. I didn’t make it for medicine as I missed the cut-off by 4 marks. With only education courses left as options for a switch, I found myself in the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education. This was in 2011.
I hated it! I mean I wanted to be Ben Carson and all I did there was just jump; in my first year. From the very beginning, I resolved to write my WAEC again, get more A’s and apply for medicine in UI. Human Kinetics is beyond jumping by the way. The health aspect is very technical. The WAEC results came out great.

I got a grant of 1 million to start a food business and I dropped out. Sadly, the business failed due to mismanagement; but I discovered I loved Economics not medicine. So, I made an attempt in 2014. My WAEC sacrifice in 2011 paid off here.
